Why not get involved with your local branch and join in the fun?
You don't need qualifications or experience, just bring your enthusiasm and help our team of volunteers spread the word! You don't need to get involved with the committee or attend loads of meetings if you don't want to, there are always jobs to done which we could do with a little help with. Here are a few things that anyone can do to help:
Distribute Pub Mirror
You could become a distributor in your area for our popular Pub Mirror magazine which we leave in many real ale pubs for the public to read.
Adopt a Pub
We need to keep members up to date with information about our locals, so why not let us know about your local? If you visit a pub (or pubs) regularly, you could simply become our contact there and keep us up to date with any changes on the bar or any other relevant news.
Become a Festival Volunteer
It takes a lot of hard work to get your local CAMRA beer festival up and running, and it's all carried out by a few unpaid volunteers. You could help staff the bars, with setting up and taking down of the equipment, there are loads of jobs we can find for you!
There are nearly 1100 CAMRA members in Hull & East Yorkshire, yet only a very small number are active volunteers. If you feel we're not doing something right or you have ideas on how to help promote the Campaign for Real Ale in your area then why not get involved?
If you fancy getting more directly involved, have a look at our contacts page where you will see vacant positions, or those where people are 'acting' in post. Feel free to get in touch for more information on any of the roles you might be interested in filling. CAMRA needs you!
