Re-opened in autumn 2020 by the former licensee of another local popular venue, Chilli Devil. The pub itself was once multi-roomed but is now one large open space, with a central bar. There is a raised area which is sometimes used for small functions. Its location is suitable as a meeting point for events as Hull's New Theatre is close by along with other pubs, bars and restaurants. Food is themed around chilli. The pub sells 6, mainly regional, cask ales and a number of ciders.

A community group (Hull Community Pub Society, a Community Benefit Society) has been setup to make a bid to buy this pub.
